The Alberta Magazine Publishers Association is sponsoring two upcoming events on magazine industry-related topics at this year’s LitFest: Narrative Construction in Literary Non-fiction with Noah Richler who draws on his 14 years experience as a BBC radio documentarian and a subsequent decade of writing both books and magazine articles to reflect on appropriate storytelling techniques in today’s era of new media (Friday, October 19 at 2:00pm) and Days of Whine and Roses with Paul Wells, political editor at Maclean‘s and author of The Harper Decade, who discusses ways to elevate a blog and personal commentary into the realm of journalism. (Saturday, October 20 at 10:00am). Both at the Stanley Milner Library in Edmonton. Tickets: $25, or $10 for AMPA members, students and groups of 10 or more.
