Rogers Communications Opens Alberta’s First Tier III Data Centre in Calgary

Rogers CommunicationsIn a media release date February 24, 2014, Rogers announced the opening of a new Data Centre in Calgary. The facility, called ‘Calgary_DC3′, is their’ first Tier III certified data centre in Alberta and its second oneĀ  in Canada. Rogers’ first Edmonton data centre (‘Edmonton_DC1’), opened in 2008 and the second one (‘Edmonton_DC2’) in 2012.

Alberta media newsThe CRTC recently granted Pattison the right to acquire Kool FM 101.5 (CKCE – FM) in Calgary along with two both Bell Media stations in Winnipeg. Harvard rebranded two of its Alberta stations as CRUZ – FM (in Edmonton CKEA was formerly Lite 95.7 and in Fort Mac CHFT was formerly 100.5 K-Rock) and Newcap’s application for a new FM station in Hinton was approved.

Calgary to Get New $22.5 Million Film Studio & Sound Stage by Summer 2015

New Film Studio CalgarySouthern Alberta will soon have a new film studio and its first permanent sound stage. The studio is estimated to cost $22.5 million, open in the summer of 2015 and will be developed by Calgary Economic Development.
