Stollery Hospital With CISN, CHED and Fresh 92.5 FM Hold Annual Corus Radiothon on January 18 & 19, 2017

corus-radiothonThe 18th Annual Corus Radiothon is a live, two-day broadcast on CISN Country 103.9 from the lobby of the Stollery Children’s Hospital. CISN’s sister stations, 92.5 Fresh Radio and 630 CHED, support Radiothon both off- and on-site during the broadcast. These stations generously donate air time, staff and programming to allow the community a glimpse into everyday life at our world-class Hospital.

Arden Theatre Presents Canadian Journalist Mohamed Fahmy on “Media in the Age of Terror” on October 1

mohamed-fahmyCanadians of many stripes have seen their freedom stripped while abroad. And it’s a topic Egyptian-Canadian Mohamed Fahmy knows firsthand. A former Al Jazeera English bureau chief, Fahmy was imprisoned in Cairo from 2013 to 2015 — which amounts to 438 days. He was locked up on the same wing as senior members of the Muslim Brotherhood, Al-Qaeda and a few who fought with the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
