LitFest is the only nonfiction festival in Canada. It brings together some of the best-selling, award-winning and emerging authors of books, magazines and films. It also supports Edmonton as a local incubator for nonfiction literary talent. One of this year’s headliners is Dan Savage, a writer, TV personality, and activist best known for his political and social commentary.

Calgary’s Wordfest Features 65 Writers & 62 Page Festival Guide

WordFest 2013The 2013 Wordfest lineup has been revealed! Over 65 writers will be appearing at the 18th Annual Festival featuring artists from Canada, France, Great Britain, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand and the United States. Wordfest runs from October 14 to 20 in various venues across Calgary and Banff. This year’s festival presents 60 separate events and is expected to attract an audience of over 14,000.
