Ampia Awards 2015Celebrating the best in TV, film and digital media production in Alberta, the Alberta Film & Television Awards honoured 58 Alberta productions and film artists at the Shaw Conference Centre on Saturday, May 23. Calgary productions and artists won the highest number of awards but the production that won the most awards was The Great Human Odyssey, an ambitious interactive TV miniseries by filmmaker Niobe Thompson of Edmonton-based Clearwater Documentary.

Edmonton’s Social Media Content Creators Celebrate at the Yeggie Awards

Yeggie Awards EdmontonOn May 9, 2015 the third annual Yeggie Awards recognized and celebrated outstanding social media content creators in the capital region in 2014. Alberta Weekly Newspapers Shine at the 2015 Canadian Community Newspaper Awards

Community Newspaper Awards 2015On March 30, the Canadian Community Newspaper Awards were handed out in celebration of the very best in community publishing from across Canada. Alberta weeklies took home numerous awards, some many: the Rocky Mountain Outlook and the St Albert Gazette tied for winning the most – six each. The 2015 competition saw 264 publications from coast to coast submit over 2,700 entries representing their best work from 2014.
