Tiny Plastic Men Returns to Super Channel for Season Three Premiere on March 2

Tiny Plastic MenThe infamous trio of nerdy toy testers is back for season three. Tiny Plastic Men, an original comedy series from Edmonton-based Mosaic Entertainment, is set to air Monday, March 2 on Super Channel. The episodes take place at the fictional Gottfried Brothers Toy and Train Company starring comedy creators Chris Craddock, Mark Meers and St. Albert’s Matt Alden.

Edmonton’s Mosaic Entertainment has three nominations including Best Comedy Series, Best Writing in a Comedy Series and Mark Meer is nominated for Best Actor in a Comedic Role. Calgary’s North Country Cinema has two nominations for the feature film The Valley Below, including Best Original Song by Dan Mangan and Kris Demeanor is nominated for Best Actor.

Alberta Shot and Produced TV Series Fargo Nominated for 18 Emmy Awards and Gets a Green Light for Series Two

Emmy AwardsAlbertans working on U.S. and international series shot or posted in Canada earned a number of Emmy nominations. Calgary’s Jackie Lind is nominated for best casting perhaps due to the fact that the Alberta-shot FX series Fargo was nominated in all acting categories. Also nominated for work on the mini-series is Albertan Frank Laratta, for Outstanding Sound Editing in a mini-series. In all Fargo received 18 Emmy Award announced on July 10, 2014.

Alberta Film: “Grey Glory” Produced, Written and Directed by Brandy Yanchyk

Grey-Glory Grey Glory is a heartwarming and inspirational documentary produced, written and directed by Edmonton’s Brandy Yanchyk. The documentary tells the stories of Canadian seniors who are pushing their bodies to the limit and redefining perceptions of aging. The film aired in English and also Ukrainian on Rogers’ OMNI TV on July 5th and 6th, 2014.
