The Edmonton International Film Festival kicks off Thursday, September 29, 2016 with over 150 films from Canada, Alberta and around the world. Kerrie Long, the festival director and her team, has curated a compelling line-up of films from all parts of the world, and in all genres — documentaries, short films, aboriginal, world, fiercely independent LGBTQ, Canadiana, sprinkled with a dash of Alberta’s own talented filmmakers.
While the 150 or so films featured represent the best in film around the world, of special interest are the films created by Alberta filmmakers to be featured on October 1.
