On Saturday, June 4, at a Wine & Cheese Gala at the MacDonald Hall at SAIT in Calgary, the Writers’ Guild of Alberta announced the 2016 Alberta Literary Award Winners. The wrap up celebration of the 34th anniversary of the awards and this year’s conference, Creativity & Happiness, was attended by 120 writers from across Alberta. This year, jurors deliberated over 250 submissions to select 25 finalists in eight categories from which they selected these award winners:
