Alberta has three campus-based television stations in Alberta: NUTV at the University of Alberta, NAIT Newswatch at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology and SAIT Newsfile at the SAIT Polytechic. Not surprisingly, a vast majority of journalists currently working at commercial radio and television stations in Alberta are graduates from one of these three highly regarded hands-on broadcast training programs and many of the instructors come from these commercial radio and television stations.
