CTV AlbertaAs the race for Alberta’s new Progressive Conservative party leader and next Premier heats up, CTV Edmonton and CTV Calgary unveiled plans today to deliver Albertans PC LEADERSHIP 2014, a province-wide broadcast of the historic election taking place this weekend. Airing Saturday, Sept. 6 at 7 p.m., the one-hour special, co-hosted by CTV News Edmonton Anchor Daryl McIntyre and CTV News Calgary Anchor Tara Nelson features leadership profiles of the three candidates: Thomas Lukaszuk, Ric McIver, and Jim Prentice

The broadcast will also feature live reports from the floor of the leadership convention, and the official announcement of Alberta’s 16th Premier.
