CJSR Radio EdmontonCJSR-FM is a campus-based community radio station, broadcasting at 88.5 FM in Edmonton.  The station is volunteer-run with a stated mission, “to enlighten and entertain our audience through high quality and diverse programming that constantly challenges the status quo.”

CJSR plays a diverse range of music and spoken-word programming. On January 7th, 2014, CJSR will celebrate 30 years on the FM airwaves in Edmonton. The CJSR News Department is always looking for story ideas. If you have a tip, or have questions about their news programming contact their news coordinator.

Right now they are in the midst of their annual FunDrive campaign that runs from September 25 to October 5, 2013.

As Edmonton’s only volunteer-powered, listener-supported, campus based, community radio station, CJSR depends on the financial support of listeners so that they can continue to broadcast diverse musical and spoken word programming that challenges the status quo. That’s where FunDrive comes in; A listener pledge made during this year’s FunDrive literally keeps them on the air for the next year. So if you’d like to donate to your favourite neighbourhood CJSR by clicking on the banner at the top of this page, or calling (780) 492-2577 ext 0.

Just like last year (and the year before that, and the year before that), if you make a pledge to CJSR during this year’s FunDrive, they’re going to show their appreciation. Depending on how much you pledge, you could win a T-Shirt, and Hoodie exclusively designed for CJSR by Edmonton’s Mount Pioneer Design Works.
