Meet Giller Prize-winner Will Ferguson at the Arden Theatre in St Albert on June 14, 2013 as he reads from his work and talks about his life as a writer. An award-winning novelist and travel writer, Will Ferguson is the author of more than a dozen books ranging from budget travel guides to works of literary fiction. In 2012 his novel 419 was awarded $50,000 along with the Scotiabank Giller Prize, Canada’s highest literary award. The novel was also the first selection for the new CityLine Book Club this spring.
Ferguson’s book How to be a Canadian has sold 200,000 copies and was awarded Non-Fiction Book of the Year. He is a three-time winner of the Leacock Medal for Humour; he was shortlisted twice in the same year (a first!). He has also been given the Pierre Berton Award by Canada’s National History Society.
Ferguson will be in conversation with award-winning journalist Paula Simons, from the Edmonton Journal.
