Edmonton Film FestivalThe EIFF Digital Media Mini Summit is a one-day event of interactive tech talks, exploring the building and integration relationship between film, video, web and digital media that takes place during the Edmonton International Film Festival. A must attend event for all film and television professionals looking to increase their knowledge of digital and social media. Mike Proulx – Senior VP and Director of Social Media at Boston ad agency, Hill Holliday. Mike has spent the last 17 years working at various interactive, high-tech and new media companies on the agency-side, client-side and as an entrepreneue. He is the co-author of Social TV and hosts a TV web series, The Pulse on Lost Remote.

Natalie Petouhoff – Social Media ROI Specialist and Adjunct Professor at UCLA. @DrNatalie provides clients with strategic/tactical guidance via unique assessments and social media ROI calculators. Companies are equipped with ready to implement real-world solutions to integrate social media with traditional business operations… and increase revenues.

Tim Street – Author of the iPad Mystery Thriller – Vids. Topping Mashable’s list of Social Media VIPs in Los Angeles, Tim is a writer/producer/director. He is one of the pioneers to use the internet as a storytelling device and is the Creator/Exec. Producer of the popular video series French Maid TV and serves on the Board of Directors for the International Academy of Web Television.

Sheri Candler – Co-writer of Think Outside the Box Office and Selling Your Film Without Selling Your Soul.

April Simpson – Executive Producer at Girl Productions, April has helmed several syndicated television series, including her passion project, EAT PACK and GO. In a past life, she was an extreme sports reporter and is now an adoring mother to JJ.

Miles Maker – CEO and marketing/distribution specialist with CoverCinema. Miles is a Raindance London alumni and manages a boutique, motion picture marketing agency. Miles has a background in directing, acting and casting.

Linda Lopez – Latin Marketing Director for House of Blues Entertainment/Live Nation. She has coordinated marketing, sponsorship and publicity for numerous tours including Carlos Santana at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. Linda also spearheaded the marketing for House of Blues (Los Angeles) first Latin Alternative Festival earlier this year.

Mandy Leith – Mandy is a Creative Alchemist, independent producer, filmmaker and media savvy story strategist. She also is a documentarian and film editing media specialist and is currently the Executive Director for Rising Media and Open Cinema Festival.

Luke Azevedo – Calgary Film Commissioner. Past Director of the Banff New Media Initiative at the Banff Centre for the Arts.

Owen Brierly – Board Director with Digital Alberta, Executive Director and “Dumbledore of Digital Media” at Guru Digital Arts College. Owen is also a Digital Media Producer and theatre professional.
