Media MovesAra Adonian from UP! Calgary takes over PM Drive on Edmonton’s Bounce this November. Speculation has it current Bounce afternoon disc jockey Jake Ryan is off to Virgin in Calgary. No word yet on where Tara his former co-host at Up! Calgary is headed. Buzz Bishop in the new midday host at XL 103 (CFXL) in Calgary having moved up the dial from 90.3 FM AMP Radio (CKMP) and is now on air weekdays 10am – 2pm as of September 20th. Bryn Griffiths hits the airwaves on Sportsnet Radio FAN 960 in Calgary on September 16 when he begins co-hosting the PM show with Pat Steinburg. Peter Maher returned to the station in September 6.

Julie James is no longer the Program Director of JOE-FM (CKNG-FM Edmonton). Replacing her is Rhubarb Jones who continues as the PM Drive announcer. Jones had been AM Drive host until quite recently, with Audie Lynds as co-host until a year ago when Audie joined long-time on-air partner Rob Christie at Capital-FM (CKRA-FM).

Stewart Meyers is moving back to Calgary as VP/GM of the Calgary Astral cluster and will also be Alberta Manager. He will be replacing Tom Peacock and will also oversee the Edmonton stations, The Bear, Virgin and Team Sports Radio 1260.

Michael James  a recent U of A graduate is now a reporter at the Drumheller Mail.

Jordan Witzel is the new weather forecaster for GlobalTV Calgary on the morning news and the noon hours news.  Jordan began his broadcasting career at Big West Country radio in Drayton Valley, Alberta. He made the jump to TV by moving to Winnipeg to join the Global News family as the weekend weather anchor. While improving his forecasting abilities at CTV Winnipeg, he also completed his Science degree majoring in Operational Meteorology from Mississippi State University.

Christina Salvo is leaving her position as Anchor/Producer at Global TV Edmonton and the search is on for a replacement.

Kerry Campbell is the new midday host on Capital-FM (CKRA). She had been one of the try-outs for the Morning News with Rob & Audie, and had also been on Capital-FM from time to time in the past.

Lorraine Mansbridge is back on air after a lengthy leave of absence as the on-location morning host for Global TV Edmonton.
